I like all the nice characters
I like Garlan, Tyrion, Syrio, Dany and Barristan, but there are soooo many nice characters. I just don't like all the people who torture and rape etc.

Mine are solidly Davos Seaworth and Stannis Baratheon rank as my two favorites.
"Let us never forget October 17th, 1814, the day a river of beer killed nine and demolished two houses. If only we could all be so lucky to die this way"
Definitely Jon. The only weak part following him IMO was when he was with Qhorin Halfhand - it just was boring to me, until he did what he did. Jaime is second because he's being less of a dick and changing his ways. Third would have to be Rhaegar. Just reading about his backstory and all of the people associated with him (namely the legendary iteration of the Kingsguard) was top-notch. BTW, am I the only one that feels Davos is a terrible character? He's so boring and he doesn't show much emotion. (And his wife is fat!)
Roose Bolton, Garlan Tyrell, Jaimie Lannister, Brienne of Tarth, Tyrell grandmother(her name escapes me atm), Oberyn Martell, Tyrion's right hand man(gosh cant remember his name either) and many, many, others.

Yeah, I've never liked Arya either, and I used to dislike Dany, but she's growing on me a bit. Just a bit though.
My favorites would have to be, Ned (yes, he's still my favorite and always will be, the poor guy), Jon Snow, Brienne, and Jaime (post hand of course). Tyrion used to be one of my favorites but lately I haven't been that interested by him.
That's the great thing about these books though. If you told me during the first books that later on Jaime Lannister would be one of my favorite characters, I just would have been confused.

Not in any order: Tyrion, the Prince of Dorne, Petyr Baelish, Davos, the Desert Snakes
As you may be able to tell, I love the politics and the espionage
Well I can't list just 3, so forgive me.
BEST: Tyrion, Littlefinger (he's surely the best player in game of throne), Jaime (without his right hand).
GOOD: Varys, Dany, Jon, Arya (Why you don't like her?? I think she's a real wolf), Ned, Oberyn,
CAN BE: Robb, Bran, Sansa (later in books), Victarion, Asha, The Hound, Brienne (as character, but her chapters are abit boring for me), Davos
DISLIKE: Theon, Cersei, Catelyn, Robert, Aeron,
Tyrion,Stannis,Sandor Clegane
Victarion's almost in there, the ship-boarding chapter was badass.
I really find the Catelyn dislike to be odd, she is certainly set up as a very sympathetic character.
Robb is the best
Hmm... tough to pick.
Asha Greyjoy, Brienne of Tarth, and Jon Snow (w/ Ghost) I guess.
Tho' I'd also throw in the Onion dude, Stannis, Samwell Tarly, Arya and Eddard Stark (*le sigh*)...maybe Jaime Lannister-on-the-road-to-'redemption' (haven't read through all of Feast, yet...kinda just skipped to all the Greyjoy bits ...the long wait in between books having caused some waning of interest. I don't even play the CCG anymore, too...)
Would've liked the Viper if he hadn't...well...y'know.
Oh, and who was that greyjoy knight who wore plate armor during a boarding action? (I think it was in Feast)
