If it is possible it would be interesting, but it would require a redesign of the walls. I would imagine death animations also aren't possible, they simply stop once possession of the wall is lost. This is something that will have to wait though.

Or we could just use the "female in disguise" trait
Good One. Yeah some how, I'd prefer never to see this trait ever again in a total war game, especially when the characters portrait is certainly male. It seems to take you out of the game a bit. You scared me for a moment there italiano.
Doctors will have more lives to answer for in the next world than even we generals. Napoleon Bonaparte
Well the males used to look pretty feminine with all the make-up etc, peacocking themselves. Might not have been done to the same extent in the 1700's though.
please say to me the "female in disguise" trait is out!
I personally hate it.

when you release the mod, how are you going to do it, as an installer or a .rar type file? also will it overwrite the orginal game files, i use the darth mod and they can be removed without reinstalling as far as i know, will your mod be the same, or will we have to do a reinstall everytime you realease, or if we want to go back to medivel times?
Also what version of the game is this going to be released on? 1.0 1.1 1.2 etc
Hey guys, let's take this one step at a time. Italiano is really busting butt to get this mod out (he's already said it will be an earlier release than most mods) and I think-could be wrong, I'm not part of the team-I read 3 weeks give or take.
I would assume, too, that it's for the latest patch... but we'll see.
Also, generally, you have to have a clean install for the mod to go in. If you want something a certain way I'm sure he'd appreciate some well-meaning help if you can take directions well. I think there's only 2 modders right now.
But let's give Italiano some room to breath and work on the mod before we start peppering the team with questions that can be answered AFTER the mod is out and BEFORE you install it. It's too good a concept to discourage him from finishing it.
Yes, I hate the fact RTW is out and I still have a Japanese title. Come on now admins- let's get with the program.
im not trying to push a realease or anything, just wondering how easy it will be to install for most people, thats all.
cant vote but i would voted for number 4
I will longer be continuing with the mod but will transfer what I've done to Palpatine (now in charge). I just think if you are going to mod it should be for yourself. Stepping away is the right thing for me to do and I feel it is now a good time to do it. I wish Palpatine all the success possible with the mod.
<_<
does this mean the mod won't continue development?
I half suspected from the start modding Medieval 2 into a gunpowder type of gameplay including a campaign, wouldn't work because most of the material is hard coded. Meaning that you can't edit anything in general leaving very few options at hand.

so italiano is cutting and running because he can't work out how to finish the mod? ahhhh nuts.
That or he doesn't have time to work on it in general in his busy schedule which is understandable. If modding this game into a gun powder era type of style was easier, the Lordz would have done it a long time ago with Napoleonic Total War 3. But they haven't because they realized the limitations that were in M2 TW compared to Rome Total War, which was much easier to mod to begin with. I'm assuming that when Empires: Total Wars comes out, it'll be not as difficult to mod as Medieval 2.
