    Default Rome total war temporary freezes

    Just downloaded this from steam, and the game freezes every minute or so for 2-8 seconds before carrying on like nothing's happened. It freezes randomly, whether it has to process a lot of data or whether i'm doing nothing except read some data. This makes the game near unplayable.

    Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

    It may simply be that you have some services (or other software) running in the background on your PC.

    You could try IOBIT's Game Booster software to put your PC in 'gaming mode': http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html
