I like it, but I think it's too flat/thin.

Spent some time on this one (no tutorial ) :
That's right : a Skeleton Samurai ! I'm kind of in a Samurai/Asian fetish atm (Shogun 2, AoE3 Asian Dynasties, ...), and I thought it could be fun. Modeled the bigger part of it instead of skinning the bones, because bones are hard to texture out of planes. Well, not exactly, but getting them to match up is.
3382 faces, and yes, it is supposed to go in-game. The texture is nothing but 2 base colours (for the bones it's brown-ish, and for the metal parts it's currently grey) + AO. So it will be improved later on. Already broke the vertices on the seams, so all I need to do is rig it (which is extremely easy for this model, because I only need to assign the bones to the bones - duh !) and texture it.
Ooh cool
Been following your stuff, and you're really improving

Folds are done with Mudbox and Xnorma, chainmail texture is self made. Has exactly 800 polys. Used this model as a base
I modelled, UV-mapped and rigged it in 3dsMax. Then I exported to .cas with Vercingetorix' exporter. Then I used Goat to convert it to .ms3d. Then I did the comments and assigning the textures, and that's where the problems are. There's something wrong with the texture or something, because in milkshape it shows up fairly dark, and when I put it in-game, the texture's messed up, and you can actually see through the guy (so what you textured on the back can be seen at the front of the guy, and vice-versa) Weird, because there's nothing wrong with the attachments
