    Thanks

Here's a new one. No, no tutorial involved in this one It's a strelet unit for a new project I'm working on. Made the normals with Mudbox, and the diffuse mostly with Marcel's resources.

    Thanks.

Need to change the specular a bit though, and i'll have to fix a seam or two, but I'm pretty pleased about it myself actually

Hey guys, here's a new model. It's an (old, rusty) AK47 that I modeled and textured. Unfortunately I seem to have forgotten to add the trigger :

Here's the model with 3dsMax default Materials (the render above was with a shader). It shows the diffuse map and structure of the model a bit better (but it looks a bit worse) :

    Thanks guys

It's the first gun I've finally been able to finish - all the other attempts always turned out to be crap

Oh, and for the lulz I also made a (very basic) reload animation (though without hand) :

New model. A Wild West Winchester Rifle. Again purely for rendering purpose, has no ambitions to go in-game (besides, it's about 10000 polys, so wouldn't have worked anyway.)

I don't think that's a compliment True, though. The turbosmooth was perhaps a bit too much and the fresnel reflections in the Xolius Shader probably made it worse

I like that Winchester rifle. Makes me want to shoot some stuff, like my proffesors or something along these lines. IMHO, it is much better than AK one, because it is more faithful to the original

True, the AK one wasn't so good because it was too bland.

The Winchester is also bland, but the original, real version, is bland as well.

Not bad, not bad at all. You are a good modeller.

Btw, why it would not work in-game? Is there some kind of poly limit

To give you a good example : The average MedII units, with all the variations on it (so that's like 3 times the actual mesh), is around 6000 polys.

This Winchester rifle alone has about 10000.

Continuing with the weapons. Here's an M16 I made
