campaign glitch

How do i make all factions playable? As when i edit descr_strat and then click on campaign a message pops up saying "pleas choose and item from the list and i cannot start a new campaign.

You have to delete the map.rwm and start a new campaign.

So by deleting this it just stops the glitch or does it make all factins playable as well? Thanks btw

You delete it so the game can make a new one with your changes. If you still have a problem check the system.log.txt for error messages.

Looks more like a mess up in the top of the descr_strat file, is this line present at the top?:

campaign imperial_campaign

first, do you know if your edits took place? sounds like not . yes you did delete map rwm. yes and that fixed the bug
but make sure, go into properties and make sure your desc_strat is not read only (right click unclick read only)

1.Well i uninstalled medieval then reinstalled it, Then changed the file off read only as was suggested.
2. The most important thing [although this is a bit stupid of me] change the permissions so that users [im on windows 7 so the user is not the admin even though i set it 2 be] can edit files. This is done by right click, securities, change securities.
