    Hey guys,
I know this may not be the best place to post this, but I am really interested in gaming and I am planning on doing a degree on it and making it a career, I decided to get a head start and begin modding.
However, I have absolutely no knowledge about how to mod and i don't even know where to start. I will really appreciate some advice from the community especially from all you hardcore modders out there
    Thanks in advance.

I tell you Azrael de silva, how I came to modding: First I played the games of Total Wars series for a cuple of years. Then I surved one day about Medieval II-TW and found a website where stood, how to make factions playable, change turns per year and set the campaign timeframe or change money by start... I liked it and dreamed like you to mod (my dreams). Also I was at an early stage interested in, how the folders and files work with each other. This was the beginning.... I prefer, you look at the workshops and read. Also have a look at TWC wiki (very important!). You will find out what you like to do, like Huene told you - and you will know, what you will need for. Before you specialize yourself on any "discipline" learn about all a lot, that's much better!

Ah, a fellow modder-in-training, with the exact same aspirations & future plans as myself! Now scripting is a bastard (at least C++, and learning stuff like Lua is hard) but I can offer you some help with modelling & texturing. What programs are you using? If you can get your hands on 3ds max & Photoshop CS3/4 *somehow* I can offer you a lot of help. Otherwise, general pointers from me

To the person who is using/used my TATW signature - who are you? You never left a name with the rep comment, and I'm really curious
