    Default A certain voice-clip

Does anyone know where the voice-clip which plays at the start of the battle plays? The one that goes "Units -- await my orders.." (at least in the English accent)?

This isn't the prebattle speech, as I cleared all those out yet that one still plays.

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."

I imagine it's a clip contained in the sounds/voice/battle_map folder. Possibly one of the General_Battle_Screams?

Ah, I wish I knew... I can't extract vanilla's sound packs (IDX seems to crash halfway, they must be corrupted). So I can't find the exact filename, or which text file invokes it...

Thankfully, I'm able to extract my sound files. Replacing them ingame is another story...

The file you want is "data\sounds\Voice\Human\Localized\Battle_Map\English_General_Group_State_Engage_At_Will_Off_1.wav."
The controlling text file is called "export_descr_sounds_units_voice.txt"

Ah, you're such a helper, that is indeed the file that's invoked. How silly, seeing that the 'engage on/off' command was taken out of Med2... Anyhow I'm making all our Classical soldiers sound in latin, greek, gallic etc
