Insane Battle lag
Hi, been lurking on the forum picking up mods for RTW for a while now. A little while ago I got M2TWG.
My system (a Dell Latitude D620) supposedly meets all the system reqs. I installed the game with no issues, I start up with no issues. I try to play the tutorial and it won't load, the game just freezes on the loading screen. I try custom battles and if they load at all it takes forever. Once they do load the battles have an FR of maybe 1 FPS, but everything is still happening in real time, so it's like watching a slide show of snapshots. I tried the campaign and the map works fine as far as I can tell, but I run into the same issues with the battle lag.
I can't for the life of me figure out what is wrong. I've tried cutting down all the graphics options as low as they'll get, I've left 30 gigs free on my HDD for it to use for memory, I'm not doing anything but running my Anti-Virus in the background and I even shut of the internet. I read about something called 3D analyzer supposedly being able to help with stuff like this, but I've not seen it used for something like this and don't know if it would work.
Could anyone tell me what the issue is? It's driving me nuts!Please, someone help, I really want to stick it to the french.
