Cool idea for a mod

Only problem is it returns me to the main menu of the game whenever I try to start with a faction.

Game Crash at turn 28. Everything was fine, I ended my turn, the Natives ended theirs, but when it's the French turn, the game just crash. Any fix?

Could you perhaps change British West Indies to English please? Britain didn't exist until 1707.

I think so but you need to have DME 8.0 as DME - Vanilla Ready and how to do that is to run the DME launcher and close it then click on the DME - Vanilla Ready button. Otherwise you could have issues with DME.
