How do you setup a folder that has a log "book" in it to see what exactly happens when the game crashes? I've heard of people that have done this but I don't know exactly how.

For vanilla games, in the main folder it's system.log.txt. Mods usually have theirs in the logs folder under the same name.
I don't see it. I have vanilla with kingdoms added on.
If you hvae Vista or Win7, look in appdata after you nihde all hidden files and folders. It's there.
How do you find it in appdata
Click Computer, in Vista clck search, type %appdata%, enter and follow it down.
Make sure you go into folder options and unhide all hidden files and folders. The Sega folder there is hidden otherwise.
Wow my computer must be ed up or something... I've unhidden all the files and I still don't see the SEGA folder. Am I supposed to be looking in the "Roaming" folder?
You should find the system.log.txt file there as I canC:\Users\ENTER ACCOUNT NAME HERE\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War

With the game installed AFTER I disabled the UAC, my log is where it belongs, Program Files.
Interesting. I have both places with the systme.log.txt file, except the log file in the "AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War" has been edited more recently then the log file in the program files. Perhaps this was the work of one of the kingdoms mods.
