Have you added the rust layer duplicated the symbol blurred etc..?? See post #3 in this thread!

Ok, I used the blur and the smoke is softer than ever...
but the point with the rust layer... I used that layer... I think I have to work that over. What else do I need, so that you can accept me as "lesson finished"?

that is a good job with the smoke layer Mr Majere. You just need the rust effect and blurred softlight effect on the symbol sir.

OK, here's the next try. I think it's ok, perhaps the colors are a matter of taste, but I think it's the technique you want to teach us.
I'm satisfied with that and I hope I finished the lesson with this one.

good enough for the lesson mate. get on to the next one. exactly it is the technique.. TBH i could care less if it looked good, (as i am not marking based on styles) but if you can follow and understand the how and what effect you can acheive.
