DLC Crashes FIX!!!

Ok i see first problem patch3.pack cannot be opened!! and the new UPC will need updating, i am doing this now!

it seems that DLC = some sort of update+DLC
it changes menu and brings back vanilla music

Morgan - thanks for the updates, i have changed the LOC files and i am still getting CTD!! it something to do with the update but i have no idea what they have done at CA!!! why the hell have they not posted a thread stating what changes they have made to game apart from the obvious DLC units??
Can you actually get the game to start???

Well,i saw Graham give the heads up,soi have NOT even bought the DLC units yet,but as soon as i got my pc on tonight,there was some sort of update downloading from Empires on steam,therefor my TAR now ctds also !!(with No DLC installed)
ill keep checking and let you know!

UPDATE***; there was an update on steam for Empires which DLed automaticelly ,and i did NOT buy the DLC;now TAR wont start !!! (empires exe has encountered blablabla)(tried 5 times in a row now)

Ok i got the game started with no mods, now the task of finding the culprits!!!!

jack lusted was on this thread just now,wish he would have said something on what else was tossed into Empires through Steam tonight!(i have patch3 as well and i didnt buy the dlc)
Good luck Toon,i mean it cant be easy to find the culprit without the old set up through Modmanager,all those TAR packs and all
***only dlc activeness from other overhaul mods is on APE mod,it seems APE is working allright(only with loc issue)

Found the problems its the Startpos mods, they will need changing as they would have changed back to Vanilla!!!

It is normal in an update for steam to check the files and if do not find the vanilla to add them replacimg any modded one. This update had to do mainly adding the new units and replaceing old menu video and music. Old _loc and modfoldering mods work o.k. Just reinstall any mods that replaces vanilla startpos in RTI, mai or main_2 folders.

Could not get TAR to start. So, if it's of any help, I tried Imperial Splendor (with the Darthmod Formations mod which worked a treat) and the game starts (old menu and all) for custom battles... the AI is all over the place again with chicken dance, constant reforming, over and over again, and old unit sizes, grenades, LI stakes etc. are all back in. Looks like the patch overwrites a number the mod fixes... more than startpos? Yuk.

@Graham,got vanilla up again,cannot say that im experiencing better graphics tbh
@HusserlTW; ive fixed it,deleting userscript and all,vanilla is fine now
@Pdguru;i hope not,but if the bAI mods are being interfered with,then CA must have uploaded some tweak of themselfs,right?And in that case ,after just playing a custom battle in Vanilla TW,its worse then ever,because i got a full stack British army dancing into melee against a full stack USA army just now

Morgan - Here is a suggestion uninstall TAR Completely and reinstall and see if that works please??

Do you have TAR up and running then ?
nvm,guess not,but no i cant do that right now mate,im off to bed now,but all you have to do is release an update on the startposmod in TAR right ?

Just tried a clean install and i got CTD when trying to play any campaign game? i have PM'd hip63 and i am sure we will resolve the issue as soon as possible, sorry you will have to bear with us

I played without TAR, only with the "ancient" Mods, and i only can play the game if i play without the American Mod, but i didn´t buy the new units...

Think we have found another problem!!! CA have added New Regions in the Americas so it makes the Current Startpos not workable with the regions we have so they need to be changed to become compatible with latest patch!! Thanks CA

Unless Guatemala wasn't there before? Hazy memory...
