Yup. I've felt like facepalming quite a lot.

I just finished First-and-Only and Ghostmaker. First-and-Only wasn't anything special, really, but Ghostmaker was epic. I am looking forward to Necropolis.

Nercopolis is wonderful......esp the opening battle scenes......

It's not war but man it's a cool way to showcase how bad ass a character is

I'm not debating whether or not the sniper is apt to kill the main target via headshot , I'm saying the others were perfectly capable of headshoting too.

And I'm referencing the scene were the

Eversor goes completely mad and can't kill a single space marine, that's far fetched to me. Eversors have guns and can hit heads too

Just because someone can get a headshot, doesn't mean they have to at every opportunity. Its not Call of Duty Multiplayer.

And how can you expect a raging Eversor to even attempt a headshot?

Not a raging Eversor. Just a regular Eversor.
To them headshotting should be a reflex.

Not for an eversor me thinks......and you and I are usually of similar mindset....

Eversors are basically psychopathic drug filled berserkers who you send in to wipe out everyone......

Eversors aren't too known for their sneakiness......most jobs for them are one way trips anyways....

I wouldn't expect an eversor to be a very "clean" assassin who professionally goes and just headshots everything in his way and leaves....they are afterall...very unstable chaps.....

No I expect an eversor to just shoot wildly to close in with his target and just butcher everyone in the most messy way as possible......

Afterall that's his job....to just butcher everyone from the top down in one go......

However I'd fully expect a Vindicare to calmly take everyone out quietly with his pistol and leave.....

I thought the reason the difference between the main factions of assassins was because they are all trained to do certain types of espionage? I had no idea that underneath all the different characters the only reason Mr. Sniper guy got to take the shot was because he was from a certain faction and that all of them could anyways...................................

I thought it was a good book, I like the couple books in the HH series that aren't based on the Astartes themselves, it gives the overlying story arch some depth and variety instead of just bolter porn every single book. That and how terrifying it must be to have several hundred/thousand seriously pissed Marines looking for you.

Seconded. I really thought I would have disliked the one about the astropath but I did like it a great deal. Though the whole thunderwarrior thing seemed odd.

I haven't read it yet, but it appears that the Thunder Warriors believe themselves superior to the Legiones Astartes, am I right?

imo they were unnecessary 40k porn that im sure many fanboys pressured them into including.

the wealth of info on largely uncovered stuff in that particular book aside, i found its story to be severely lacking.

I just finished Nemesis, now because I forgot First Heretic, I am going to start reading Prospero Burns. I must say that it took me until Part 2 to really not be put off by it. The chapters at first were rather boring, and when I got to pat two, I just finished it in that sitting.

    I know, right?

Be careful, everybody around these parts seems to think Nemesis was a darn good book even though

Well finished Priests of Mars and it's not a bad book as I'm guessing Graham is setting it out as a series. It's like Batman Begins where it sets out as an introduction and you want more.

    Exploratory fleet
    - Black Templars Squad
-71st Hellhound Cadian Regiment --> Yes the exact same regiment that fought the Tau in Fire and Honour so they ended up being transferred from the eastern fringe all the way to the western fringe.
    -Titan Legio Sicarius
    -Rouge Trader Robute
    -Bondsmen forced into service

What am I also amazed though is the size of the Ark Mechanius ship as it's big enough to have its own gravity well but also big enough to host mock battlefields that also includes Titans. That's just crazy.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
It's funny though because out of all the guys involved they have all fallen from grace except for maybe the Cadians so it's a question of how long their luck lasts in this expedition
