    Yes - except that Prince Carlos became Duke of Parma - Elizabeth's ancestral possession - under the Treaty of the Hague. And then in the War of the Polish Succession, Spain recovered the kingdom of Sicily/Naples and made it a client kingdom of the Two Sicilies under the Treaty of Vienna (1738) under Duke Carlos of Parma (later Carlos III of Spain). So her policy was a partial success.

    Yes. It´s almost a miracle the Empire´s hold by the spaniards... Four continents with a British Empire very strong. Well, to have the french with allies is a great help.

    Four continents with a British Empire very strong. Well, to have the french with allies is a great help.
    I think that France should be the most happy.
    Before 1701 Spain was a part of Habsburg Empire, now there is Burbon king.
