    Default Uninstallation problem

I have RS 1.5c on my computer, along with BI v1.6, the 1.5 Patch and R:TW. I know that BI doesn't uninstall, so I tried to uninstall "Manually"; I deleted EVERY SINGLE FILE that had the words "Rome" "total" "war" "Barbarian" or "Invasion" in it, then deleted them from the Recycle bin. I even used the Uninstall/Change Programs thing and uninstalled all of that stuff from there too! But now, when I put the disc in, it still says "Play Rome: Total War". How do I fix this?

You should probably also delete it in the standard 'Delete Program' option of Windows.

Is that in the "Control Panel?" If so, then I already did.

Try deleting the registry entries. (Start -> Run -> regedit)

    Moving to the appropriate forum.

    Thanks guys.

BTW, I tried that link, and I think I may have done it wrong; I had deleted C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War before I did that. Plus, some of the files mentioned to delete weren't there.

The moral of the story is to always remember to uninstall before deleting any files! I know sometimes this does not work and it's necessary to remove traces of a program from the registry - that's something I rarely have to do.

There are registry cleaner programs out there that can be used.

The best way to to learn how to use it is download one, read the instructions, install it, run, and click the repair button.

www.eusing.com has Eusing Free Registry Cleaner.
    www.ccleaner.com has ccleaner.
    www.iobit.com has Advanced Sysem Care.

If you don't like those, Google has at least four pages for you to choose from.
