Advanced Americas

This mod improves the relevant Kingdoms campaign.

Main features

-Active volcanoes of the period are on the map. Example:

-Gunner model changed to Musketeer model.
-European unit rosters reorganized especially the Spanish one. They had fewer armor than the game suggests.
-New Spanish light cavalry.
-Historic events - mainly news from Europe for the Spanish faction.
-Settlements start with almost doubled number of inhabitants but growth will be less.
-Playing with New Spain will be more difficult, the money is few and there are far less Spanish units available. You need to hire natives as they did historically.
-Some buildings cost more.
-Natives need to defeat more cavalry and musketeers before learning their use.

-Real Horses by Argent Usher
-Big smoke by Headlock

The mod is free to use but you need permission from the modders above.

Installation

Save the original files of the 'mods\americas\data\world' folder.
Copy the zip file in your Medieval II Total War folder.
Unzip, overwrite everything.
Run del_americas_maprwm.bat it will delete the map.rwm (or do this manually).
Open the americas shortcut and paste " --io.file_first " after kingdoms.exe in the field of the middle panel.
Start the game!

If you bought the game from Steam or have vista, win7 or newer Windows check the relevant twcenter topics what to do to play mods.

Hi,
it sounds great to try, but after doing all the right steps, when I choose a faction and I press Start, the game kicks me out of the Americas Campaign Faction Selection screen, I'm back in the Single Player Screen, and not able to enter the faction selection screen unless i go back to first main menu so I'll be able to go select my faction again, but still I'll be kicked out again.
What's the problem?

don`t you think about to add more european factions? maybe France, England as playable in campaign?

Perhaps I would have done it 6 years ago but I moved on since then. Someone asked for the DL link so it's just a reupload.
