This might not be the right place to ask, or it might be. I was wondering a way to change up some certain colors in a render to make it a little more specified to the scene I'm attempting. I want to turn a horse-hair crest on a Greek helmet from black and white to black and "Tyrian Purple." Does anyone know a way to edit the white to purple and still keep the horse-hair look. Any help would be much appreciated.

Copy your picture, cut out the areas you don't want to colour carefully and then follow this part of the tutorial:
    2. You can change colours of your render. For example, if you want to use this one you'd have to make the signature blue. You can however change the colour by clicking ctrl+u (or image-adjustmens-hue/saturation) Now you choose the colour you want to change, in our example we want to change the blue glasses and shine to a green colour. Just push "Hue" to the left a little, and you have this outcome.
Now you can go ahead and make a green signature.

Is there some advanced Render tutorial or is all thats left to do is to add your own twists and turns to it?

The images for the tutorial aren't visible so I worked only with the explanations
