well after this period, Nadir Shah emerged to conquer all of Afghanistan

With his assassination in 1747, one of his commanders, Ahmad Shah Durrani after securing the treasures that Nadir had plundered from Delhi (including the koh-i-noor ) went on to found the first Afghan nation and even today he is remembered as such by many Afghans.
