What happened to the eastern archers? I could build them in the east but when I downloaded patch 3, they dissappeared. Where can I build them at?

I'll check it out. If there is an error I will include the correction in the next patch which is due out in a few days.

EDIT: If you mean the comitatensis and palatinae archers, they are recruitable in their respective barracks.

Hmm, I thought you would say that. I'll check it out tonight when I get home, make the corrections and inclued it as part of the next patch.

They are in patch 3 and here is their entry:

recruit "eastern archer" 0 requires factions { roman, sarmatians, huns, roxolani, romano_british, } and hidden_resource mesopotamia or hidden_resource ariana or hidden_resource assyrian or hidden_resource daylam

So you can see they are limited in their recruitment. Of course you can always change that if you wish.

Well I've pushed my way into mesopotamia and took some cities that I used to recruit those archers but no more. Can you tell me off hand what cities produce them? This is my #1 favorite Roman mod of all time ,with EB comming in second. I look forward to your next patch.

Hello JH, While playing the Precopian faction, I've conquered almost all of mesopotamia and the Sassanid capital yet no "eastern archers". I can't build them anywhere. You might want to fix this for the next patch.

Ah, you will find that they are only available in the lower recruitment buildings, as they are a sagitarii indigenae unit.

Hmmn, me thinks you are right, damn those Sassanids and their advanced buildings! It never ocurred to me to see if they were on a lower level. Thanks for answering my posts.
