Question re time frame and graphics

Dear Forum,

What period of time is covered with Roma Surrectum, respectively how many years/turns is the game running? Furthermore, it appears that the unit cards of some Roman legions are looking extremely pale (you are only aware of the big shields), whereas the unit cards of some other legions are on a high standard. Is this a problem of my graphic card?
