    Please report Bugs of TATW 1.3 in this thread.

    Bugs that are reported with TATW 1.0, 1.1 or 1.2 won't be considered, since they may have been fixed in TATW 1.3!
    Unnecessary posts that contain no bug report or don't confirm a bug will be deleted.


    Known Bugs


    Battle map:
    - short unit descriptions of Dale are missing
    - little "water-bug" in Edoras
    - little "water-bug" in Isengard
    - some battle radar maps are black
    - Dunedain Rangers "spike-bug"
    - weapons of Snaga Skirmishers are black
    - Mumakil death animation bug
    - Dwarven Axethrowers throw javelins
    - Ents can't attack Mumakil
    - Ent animation bug after attack move
    - crash in custom siege battles (solution here)
    - Rhun Horse Guard uses sword animation
    - Rhun captain noseguard wrong
    - Eldar Lancers secondary weapon texture wrong
    - Grishnak model
    - Dwarves refer to Scotland in speeches
    - Uruk Scouts have holes in model
    - mountain fort battle map bugged (if allies try to break siege)
    - catapult trolls shrink when pushing siege equipment
    - Goblin archers and heavy archers grows larger when they draw their swords (?)
    - stone fort next to Moria is floating in the air
    - Dain's Halls floating in the air
    - banner carriers for Gondor have messed up hair

    Campaign map:
    - Lurtz weapon on strat map
    - armor ancillaries not working with castles
    - Loading screen 33 skipped, resulting in not showing all screens
    - dwarf autoresolve unbalanced
    - Some typos in ancillaries (BattleSurgeon, ...)
    - Invasions grant chivalry




    Bug Fixes (save-game compatible)

    Bug Fix #1
    - Fixes missing short descriptions of Dale units.
    Install: copy the file to "...\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\data\text". Delete export_units.txt.strings.bin file afterwards!

    I found a small bug playing Dale. When I attacked Ost-In-Gil (I hope I remember the name well, the first rebel town in the forest) a Silvan Elf army (almost full stack) appeared after the first turn of the siege. As they were my allies, they helped me with the siege, but attacked me immediately in the next turn. It's something similar to Ost-In-Edhil with Isengard and the OotMM in 1.2, I think.

    that is spawned armies with scripted targets causing that i think and no owner is ally check on it

    Rhun Horse Guard (Mounted Clanguard) cavalry unit still uses sword animation in melee, despite clearly using spear.

    Quick fix is to swap secondary 'sword' to 'spear', long fix is to change the unit model and give them one-handed sabres for melee (currently only standard bearer uses sabre for melee).

    Some Dwarven buildings still have a vanila cards, for example council chambers!

    The following units still have graphical issues that have been present since initial release of the mod (afaik): Rhun's captains and generals have part of their head become warped and move around every time they go into combat; Southron Warband and Southron Pikemen have each have one weapon in their group that looks like a halberd but with a torn paper appearance (I don't think it is intentional); Eldar Lancers have one secondary weapon in their group that looks like a straight-edged sword but with the wrong textures (looks somewhat like chainmail for a blade). That's all I can think of for now.

    That's not a bug, they're just not have been made yet.

    Some of Dale's unit cards still have light blue parts on the background from the 3D render.

    I still only get about half of the loading screens from the loading screens folder showing up in the game.

    Check out Hornburg. It's got an invisibility cloak

    Also, the High Elf info cards have the wrong # for unit size. It says 151(121?-I forget) but when you recruit them it's 61

    Invasions still seem to grant chivalry to generals. As Rhun, my faction leader got the "fair in rule" trait immediately after clicking the button to join an invasion. It is somewhat irritating since I like my evil faction generals to acquire as much dread as possible.

    This bug appeared on the Axemen of Lossarnach. The axe models of the front line were missing, though they came back when the enemy came closer and they went into the "battle stance". I don't know if this is a frequent bug, or not, just thought I should post it..

    Battle: Mordor was trying to capture Cair Andros, and I sent all my militia outside the gates to engage them. After completely destroying my militia, their siege tower and battering ram went the opposite way instead of towards my walls.

    This is a hardcoded part of AI, if you attack your enemy outside your gates AI is very prone to getting disorganised, often it'll end up being unable to continue a siege. Sometimes it needs a bit of time to reposition.

    Dwarves speech mention "Scotland". Don't know if it's a bug or "not done yet"; mentioning it just in case. Pretty sure it was during the diplomacy session/scroll.

    Custom battle menu: Some text not in the right place: Weaknesses and strenghts of factions not in correct place

    In diplomacy: playing as Dale asking alliance with dwarves; Dwarves ask me to attack OOTMM. I agree, but OOTMM is not added to my enemies ( in the list).

    THe hornburg is the small towering fortress to the upper left of where the flag is in the ground. I don't see this as any kind of a bug.

    The flag would be positioned in the middle of the Deeping which according to Lore had no buildings. However the flag would be center to the entire complex if you take into consideration the caves in the mountian sides, The deeping wall and the Hornburg.
