Numidian Adivce

I'm not exactly a pro/veteran but I decided to give Numidans a try anyways. Now I find myself in a weird position.

I have no where to expand due to being sandwiched (They got to a rebel city before I did) and cut of from the rest of the world by Carthage. There seems to be a mysterious landblock down the middle of Africa that prevents me from going into Egypt.

I'm debating on whether to attack the Carthaginians or not because they got stacks of troops running around in my territory. Or should I head into Iberia and take it before Carthage? I took Tingi so it seems like a logical course of action.

Any advice?

i would say invade carthage because if you dont they will. invading spain might not be a good idea when carthage is still next to you because than they will see you as weak and take you out. also the best moved would be to take there biggest cities carthage thapsus ect. use alot of spies so you can do a quick raids in there major cities. you can get alot of money or population. there is a barrier between carthage and egypt im not sure why they put that in there. but the way i look at it if you control the entire western part of north africa you wont have to worry about being invaded by anyone, and you can attack anywhere in western med.

i been thinking about doing a numdian game myself but im not sure i can win with the kinds of units numidia can make. what units do you primary use.

Well, As numidians you get some spearmen and lots of javelin/skirmishers along with JavCav. So far I've been fighting against rebels that have large missile components in there army. I use my JavCav as HC after they dispense their missles. Also the berber javelinmen seem to be pretty tough.

ah ok. i thoguht the jav cav would be really good but i wasnt sure on infantry types. have you made it to the numdian legions yet.

Carthage will be coming for you sooner or later. Better to strike them now before they become too powerful. Perhaps wait for them to become tangled in a war of attrition against Rome or Spain. An all out assault on their best troop producing cities would seem the most viable option. Now is the time sir.
