i was wondering why chariots have such low defense. I know they had it in vanilla too, but it makes them very vulnerable in prolonged melee combat, and i thought they were supposed to have the "staying power of infantry"
i am also curious as to what effects superior and elite have on a unit. are they the same, is one better than the other?

Could anyone explain why this is happening? It's on a clean install of RTW with the Alexander expansion. It only occurs during winter and so far I've only noticed it over Sicily and Italy, but the texture does not look like snow and it only covers a large square of the terrain, as you can see in this picture.

I've encounterd a CTD with my Pergamum campaign.
When I captured the region with the Pyramids in it (forgot the name) and got the video box in the lower left corner and clicked on it, it CTD.
The way I got around this was to click the box away instead of opening it.
So I'm not asking for any help on this. Just wanted to let you know it can cause a CTD if you open the video.
Don't know whether this applies to other World Wonders, I've only encoutered it with the Pyramids.

@Tesla
Have you tried to play the videos of the wonders of the world outside the campaign mode to locate the problem?

Ah I see, though it doesn't really matter that much. I think it's only with memphis/pyramids, because when I took Babylon and got the Hanging Gardens it played fined.

I'm editing the game a little now, and I would like to know which factions replace who. The Britons, Numidia, and the original Roman factions are in there, and I know they are replace with others. It makes these tweaks difficult not knowing who they are being applied to!
I know its probably been asked before, but searching for numidia and britons gave me nothing here![]()
The Britons are the slave faction (I think) and the Numidians are Pergamum

I have got a quick question. The provincial campaign is meant to be played with the senate, but not as the senate, correct?

Anyone have any ideas about the terrain texture issue I posted above?
Only dream I ever have. Is it the surface of the Sun?

Thats' right, yes.
It could be, but it does seem to cover a large squre of the terrain which exceeds the border of the battleground (you can almost see a corner of this square from the screenshot). It could be a frosty ground texture, has anyone else noticed something similar?
