    Default Ideas For The Next BRG Mod

    Assimilation Mod Patch Updated 11/17/09
    RIO'S IBFD BRG III REQUIRED
    1-Extract to your desk top
    2-Copy or drop the rio folder over your rtw folder where your rio folder is, copying over all existing files.


    New building recruit system tweek with more balanced units:

    Barbarians and Romano British:
    Barbarian Government Center
    -New recruitment Branch off for RB, Barbarian, Hun, and Nomads at city levels.
    -These factions will not be able to recruit units in Roman barracks or stables after city levels.(or build from this tree)
    -These factions need to build a barbarian government center building to start the assimilation process.
    -City level units are better in the branched off barrack and stable buildings in cities, large cities, and huge cities that available after pop.is assimilated.
    -government center needed for assimilation of the local population.
    -After assimilation(completion of the Barbarian government center) barrack and stables buildings branched off in the barbarian form can now be constructed.
    -Best cavalry and infantry units are found here at city to larger city levels.
    -Cavalry ill be more readily available
    -New unit: Scout Cavalry Raider for most factions: retextured

    Romans and Romano BritishRB is limited)
    Roman Civilian and Government Center.
    -Roman government center building needed to Assimilate the local population.
    -After the Roman government center building is completed, city to large and huge cities can now build Roman barracks and stables producing the best Roman units.

    strat 463 434:
    -463 Campaign tweaked to become early on more intense
    -Redid Soissons, Saxons, Roman British, and Roman Britones starting troops
    -Much game re balancing
    -Files edited with correct grammar.
    -Franks and several barbarian factions were missing description on Comes civitatis: regional administrators
    edu: Ostrogoth palace swordsmen1 fixed.
    -A city town watchmen available for RB and Roman Britones with (aor)Britain new texture
    -Saios are now recruitable by Goth factions within their own lands
    -Roman Britones(British faction)comitatenses are now recruitable in Gallic lands(new shield texture)
    -Roman Britones(British faction)British legionaries are now recruitable in Gallic lands
    -Expanded more barbarian cav recruitment to large towns
    2d art Several Frank Palaces pics were missing.have now been placed
    re textured Scout Cavalry Raiders
    re textured City Militia for certain factions
    re textured Ostrogoth heavy infantry for Visigoths
    proper Visigoth Cav Skirmisher texture corrected
    Ostrogoths and Visigoth Gothic Veterin will differ in textures
    Fixed Triumph Ancillaries
    -Also the Roman campaigns slightly tweaked(law and happiness) to make expansion more difficult
    -Roman general units slightly increased
    Replaced the primary general unit for these units with BI vanilla orig textures and models
    Will continue to work on there textures if this stops graphic issues relating to ctds
    Ostrogoths
    Visigoths
    Vandals
    Burgundii
    Alemanni
    Lombardi

    Need to do:
    - Family trees

    WRE 463 characters:

    - Emperor Libius Severus - I couldn´t find info about his marriage,children and birth date
    - heir Anthemius Procopius
    - Ricimer Flavius (57) magister militum and most powerful man in the Empire - he married Alypia in 465 daughter of Anthemius,didn`t find that he had children
    - Nepos Julius (33) Emperor 474-475 - he was married to the niece of Eastern Roman Emperor Leo I
    - Glycerius (43) Emperor 473–74 - I couldn´t find info about his marriage and children

    Forced Diplomacy. Not set diplomacy, but making a faction accept your demands. Its usefull when giving away cities and such.

    The RS II team said they will be releasing their new battle environments for public download... That will be great for all the RTW community!

    Yes he had and he was King of the Burgundians (473-516) and he also had 3 brothers:Godegisel, Chilperic II and Gundomar. But I think that he was to young in 463 and he wasn`t important for Roman history,he was important for Burgundian history.

    I modified the 463AD WRE campaign more difficult in that conquering territories outside their starting boundaries will cause higher penalties to law and happiness. It will be imperative to work diligently on the econ

    Well, regarding Gundobad, he wasold enough to take over for Ricimer when he died.

    Anyway, regarding the Saio infantry recruitable by the roman empire - maybe they could get the same model as the Gothic do? Because I think having them wear no armour does not do them justice.

    Looking to add another patch in a few weeks Assimilation II to go over the BRG III

    -Have added a great deal more to the process of assimilation..Barbarian cavalry will be more accessible to deal with strong Roman infantry early on.
    -looking at making the optional install for western barbarian general units standard to avoid graphic glitches and poss ctds. Can improve on the textures.
    -Saios available within their faction territories..Poss diff model.
    -I modified the 463AD WRE campaign more difficult in that conquering territories outside their starting boundaries will cause higher penalties to law and happiness.


    Needs to be done.
    -Family trees
    -Ingame battle environments
    -Unit cards
    -The triumph ancillaries

    Some quick ideas:
    - fix diplomacy.
    - Enable the Roman Britones to be able to build additional Roman units in Sossion, Ravenna, Rome, Constantinople
    - fix the Justinian campaign. Great story line and it adds variety to the game. It deserves better.

    Agree with the sugs Lioneljoe. The Justinian campaign unfortunately will take up too much of my time right now. Its really an era thats different than the early 5th century thus it needs many new changes. Plus there is a very promising mod coming out soon(or at least has much done) that you may want to watch for.
