Here's what he has so far rulewise:

He's implied that he will be unable to finish game creation and as such I will be combining the two games. I will definitely be using the heroes in Sid's version to replace my own, as well as troop armaments. Training tiers will be at a halfway point between our systems; rather than the seven tiers initially proposed by myself, and the three by Sidmen, five will be used.Originally Posted by Sidmen
Sid's city-based economics will also be used in place of regions, but with some alterations. Cities will yield different incomes, I want players to have priorities when it comes to cities. Grain and mines will also be included in regions.
I will not be incorporating Sid's "mount or no mount" system though, but I will almost certainly trim down my list of mounts.
If you ave any complaints, suggestions, objections, et cetera, blurt em out.

So what's going on? I haven't been on in....a long time.![]()
A whole lot of nothing.
An FA might come into creation sometime in the next few weeks though, at the moment I am tied up with ME2 and Tekken 6 as well as Footloose performances.

My procrastination is stifling, and I have started on Magna Carta 2 after having finished Tekken and ME2
EDIT: Not going to lie, adding numbers to troop training, devotion, equipment, and mounts is the primary deterrent right now. It's incredibly daunting.

But, I was going to work on the opinion that a common swordsman would cost 100 gold. Half of that would be training (50), half of the remaining would be his light leather armor (25) and the rest would be his sword and shield (25). Increase the cost per level by 25% (rounding or not as you prefer).
You should be safe in having 2-handed weapons costing the same as the sword and shield weapons, since they're equally balanced. I'd have Ranged weapons cost more, probably 50. Magic staffs vary, depending on how common you want magicians to be in this world. Since they ignore mundane defenses it wouldn't be too much to ask for 500 each.
Armor should increase by factors of 3, 25 for light, 125 for medium, and 625 for heavy.
I don't advise giving too much of a bonus or negative to differing horses, especially not in the "light, Medium, Heavy" classes that we've used in the past, because that does such a horrible job at representing cavalry. Especially when considering that horsemen can and did swap off what kind of horse they rode mid-battle. In any event, horses were at least as costly as a suit of chain armor (so 100-200).
With the "regular" cost of training down, you can extrapolate how much your others should cost. Your cheapest should be really cheap, because you can literally go out into the countryside and grab people and force them into the army pretty much for free, then have your regulars show them how to form a battle line while on the march. They won't be any good, but they aren't supposed to be.

you'll have to make one because no one here is on the case.
Oh hey, my local mod forum gets removed and I'm still a local mod. No more work for me.
Hmm...after a nice vacation of movies and fishing (which ain't over yet) I come back to find that SA is still the only game going. This is shameful. I demand justice.![]()
SA is dead because Sidmen no longer has consistent internet access. That said, there are things in the works.
I wasn't involved in Stellar Alliances this time around. 'twas only a player. I think Aetius put a 2 week hold on it while he was busy, can't remember when he did that tho...

Oh well...that's kinda disappointing. Guess that gives me some time to decide what to join.
Sorry for slow respond times. Being on a laptop with my account not auto-logged in has been some trouble. -_-

Eh heh heh, humorous!
People will believe a lie because they want it to be true; or they're afraid it's true.
Given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe its true, or because they're afraid it might be true. Peoples' heads are full of knowledge, facts and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.
Boy do I miss the Vapnadomr Empire....what a fine setup that was indeed =)
