    Default art programmes

    okay i know that GIMP/photoshop are the generic programmes, but i've read a couple of comments that suggests some people use other programmes, and was wondering what programmes everyone uses and what they use them for

    Adobe illustrator - focus: text, layout, vector based illustration
    Corel Draw - focus: text, layout, vector based illustration
    Inkscape (freeware) - focus: image creation, vector based illustration (a bit more specialized and user friendly)
    Painter - focus: digital paintings, image creation
    Paint shop pro - focus: image editing and manipulation
    Adobe photoshop - focus: image editing and manipulation
    Gimp (freeware) - focus: image editing and manipulation
