following the cloud tutorial, its not that great, but i was more conserned with learning the method

You should try to make the edges a bit rounder and try to get a little more form in. It's pretty rectangular right now.
And great to see another new face *cough*avatar*cough* around here

whats wrong with the avatar? it fits with my librarian role

yeah, for some reason i opened a really long short box, and couldn't be bothered to change it, so thats what i ended up with. I also think the difference between the 'light colours' and the 'main bulk' is too great as that give to much contrast i think, especially in the blue

Nothings wrong with your avatar it was that I had written: "To see a new face around here" then I saw the mistake and made a little correction

finding something to do with the blue cloud, its okay i think, any thoughts?

The idea and the wizard is great.
To improve it make the edges on the cloud and the text smoother and maybe add a gradient background.

A tip is to use "Refine Selection" on the cloud.
That should make the edges disappear.

the graphics are nothing special, but having never done a GIF before it took me absolutely ages to figure out how to do one - i might add a fade at some point.
