    Default passport issues//

    Yes ... yes ...
    I might do it in October 20th to 25th but...
    I still havent gotten my US citizen passport !

    I applied for it on June, the 17th ... and to this date, I havent gotten it yet...
    It was due to come to me in mail in 3 to 6 weeks maximum (?) time...

    But now... there is this chance to go to Mexico for a few days... but IDK if I could get a permit from the gov. to do it so...

    Im born here in the US... i just need my passport

    What can i do ?

    please help me ( I need to go and see my brother ... year and a half since I last visited him )


    To be exact...

    I applied for my passport book... For the first time... I have never used any passport of the like since the new rule for US citizens came out on June the 1st...

    There must be a way to request the Department of State that you application for a passport be given "urgency" status. Contact the authorities.

    Im browsing through official websites like Travel State ...
    Edit... I checked the status of my passport application and it said that they couldnt find my application !

    Something must be wrong :S

    Passport Information is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
    Speak with a representative Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., EST, excluding federal holidays.
    But a machine answers and just gives you information that you dont need to know !
    Like the directing for info to the very same website were you obtained this phone number!

    FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

    what do ?

    Speak to a representive, I suppose...

    Don't ever try to email public service - they are freaking slow to reply.

    Also, prepare all the materials require to reapply a passport; if they lost the application, they simply tell you they lost it and ask you reapply, no exception.

    Lastly, public service generally lack effeciency, so be patience and follow their instruction, even it does not make sense.

    Reapply ?
    They had my birth certificate!
    and I paid the full application fee...

    Those ers sent my birth certificate too !

    Im not gonna let those ers get away with my 101 bucks I paid for everything...

    You can get emergency passports at most airports in most countries. Not sure if you can in America.

    I would recommend finding a passport expediting company in your area. They can for a hopefully small(I did this in the late 80s/early 90s so it may have changed)fee try to find out what happened and speed up the process for you.
