Athals rangers have to be the best so far
I like the Scramasaex that some of the units carry, really fits with the theme. "yes:

good work king kong.
now the orcs of misty mountains is necessary reworked also.
I can guarantee you that you will not see my work in the next patch (1.3). 2.0 would be a safer bet. And slow is an unfair word. I have approximately 4-5 hours each week that I can take the time to do some texture work. Since I create all my textures from scratch, painting them using a tablet and digital pen, it can take me anywhere from 20-30 hours to complete a unit. And I don't like to compromise, although I do have to do that some times.
You are right. This was a common helmet used by all major european nations; Swiss, Swedish, English (especially longbowmen) and spanish ... the list goes on... But whatever the case was, it still looks awesome.
Methinks someone didn't pay attention in history class...
But do any others agree about the inconsistency with the quality of unit textures from each faction - Dale is way ahead in detail level now; maybe the other factions need a bit of sprucing-up especially in the facial texture...

i agree with you, but with the new Dale (and the new Eriador coming after it), at least now there wont be such a great trench in the quality of the diferent factions.

I have an idea for another unit. Maby you can include it if you like the idea.
Dale is the most northern human kingdom in middle earth. Maby you could include some soldiers who can only be recruited in the northern regions. E.g.:
Forodwaith soldiers
The name Forodwaith means both "north region" and "north people" in Sindarin. The word forod means "north." The element waith is from gwaith which means "people" but is also used for regions. Forodwaith was the name of the area and its original inhabitants.
Forodwaith was inhabited by the Lossoth, or Snowmen. The Lossoth were descendants of an earlier race of people called the Forodwaith who had lived in the North when Morgoth dwelled there. Morgoth's realm had been destroyed in the War of Wrath at the end of the First Age and much of the land had sunk beneath the Sea.
The Lossoth were a hardy people who were accustomed to the cold. They lived in igloos and travelled using skis and sleds. They kept to themselves in their remote land and were rarely encountered by other peoples of Middle-earth.
Maby such soldiers could wear fur clothes and use spears or bows. They could be rare soldiers or mercandaries.

A stunning preview, beautiful.
Thank you King Kong!
A question, I was led to believe that there would be a powerful unit using a combination of spear and bow (it would be a unique unit within the mod). If there are a unit or two following please take it into consideration.
I am slightly obsessed with longbows
Very very nice!

That looks amazing. I love it. Excellent job.
A new Dale...

Those Athala Rangers are making me fall in love with Dale
Brilliant work, fantastic units , just fantastic.... top skin factions despite the fact i am a dwarf fanatic are Rhun, Harad and now Dale (hhmmmm maybe a dwarven reskining in the future...maybe...??)
Wow! Wow! Wowie wow wow!!!
These units are absalutly brilliant! I can't wait for them to be released !!! Are you going to change the ingame banner of the faction? I thing a Dragon, Griffen, or Bow would fit much better than the current banner ...
RTR RULES!!!!
