How is Pergamon and Galatia meant to work? I mean, they actually fought against each other, have nothing at all in common, and would steamroll Asia Minor like mad. Besides, how do you determine which faction just conquered a region: Pergamon or Galatia?

It would be 1 faction..so it doesn't matter.....in the end,its the player who conqer a region.Everybody can choose for himself who he want to rollplay.1+1=3....ehm 2

What i wanted to say....With pergamon....all we get is another()greek faction with the same military structure.And we dont have that much greek faction's...hm actually it would be nice to have a phalanx unit in my army,they are so rare in that game...yeah lets do pergamon.

I know phalanx lovers would dig pergamon...thats why i wanted to see a joined faction...so we can have greek and barbarian units(united like happy people and friends)...so the player can choose for himself what he want and with units he want it.

To be honest,its a very democratic sollution.
(i can say for myself...i think of other people...a good samaritan...sort of)

And pls dont comment me with historical accuracy nonsens.Its a game and not the history channel.

hmm I got an idea - I could just use FOE epirus units for Pergamon Kingdom! Wouldn't that be nice? No need to waste good units and re-create new ones

Maybe. But we need better barbarians, we really do! Listen! Or otherwise the Gauls and Germani have massive empires every time and it's unrealistic in the extreme.

Are you sure? I have never seen barbarians expanding beyond their own homeland since version 2.5.

I have. And they certainly will when they get their "advanced units"... plus it'd be more fun being the barbarians

Cimbri or teutons would be nice.Or like Caligula suggested...the belgae.

I never saw the germans expand to much,but the last time i played the romans...the gaul had europe,half of spain and there armies gave the thracians a hard time.

And the romans(AI) must be balanced also....every game i had to give them money,sometimes i had to destroy the greek city's there aswell.

Started 2 spain campaign's....on the moment you kick carthago of your lands.They mega assault Italy....at least 4 full stacks there. no punic war for me i guess

Well, IMO there is a better case for adding a new Gallic faction (Belgae) than a German, since no one really know what the Germans were doing until Caesar's time, and we know little enough after that. Also, the Germans aren't (or at least shouldn't be) in the warzone, except perhaps on the Rhine.

I agree, but in that case the Germans must start out small or they'll have an empire from the Rhine to the Vistula by the time anyone's attacked them. We could have spread out barbarians (e.g. Gauls have Aquitaine and Venetia, the Belgae have Belgica and the Germani have the Rhine and the Alps)?
