Well, I'm downloading this right now, and I was wondering what you guys have to say about it. Is it any good? Got any tips? And so on and so on.

Good things come to those who wait... But better things come to those who never hesitate.
It's been a while since I played it, but:
It's one of the best looking mods, and I really like the new troop trees and special troops,
as well as unique items. It also has formations and some other nice gameplay features.
And let's not forget: GUNS!
Here's an FAQ that helped me:

Check out this feature - it's cool:

Can I set the formations in any way?

Here's how it works:
Press J to get you men into ranks around you. They will follow you and wont obey other orders.
Press K to make them form ranks around a Standard Bearer. They will follow him and obey any order you give them.
Press U to tell them to leave formation.
Now, this works ONLY FOR INFANTRY, and only EXPERIENCED infantry, not peasant rabble and rank and file (the list of troops that can get in formation is below).

In my taste, all the mods with guns are pretty boring. Since there pretty much a crossbow but with diff look and damage.
I second that, Nazmus. I just find them boring as it's VERY easy to die - Armor doesn't mean anything... The mod is very well made, but the guns ruined it.

If you actually hit someone, yes, gun deals huge damage.
But we all know it would not hit someone most time, unless you use some handcannon.
The mod's biggest weakness, from my view, is forced player not to rebel or join a claimer by cut off elite troops for them - very sucky option from my view.
But then I still beat Swadia with low-tier infantry, perhaps that means I am genius??

Ah, I've got this mod. It's interesting, but I haven't had time to fully delve into it.
It's not that I can't reach them on time - It's that I'd rather upgrade my ranged proficiency and fire at them while running in circles around them, but they usually hit me even when I'm very far away. Which is very annoying.
By the way - I'm playing on 57% difficulty level - That might be the issue.

Difficulty at 57% is very easy, so the mod must be hard.
I was actually impressed by the implementation of guns in this mod,
since it doesn't unbalance everything in favor of guns like in other mods (the first versions of WWII: China Battlefield).
But yes, guns just don't fit that well into the M&B gameplay.

Guns don't fit into anything, period.
Once a game gets into a period where guns are involved, it simply loses its charm (E.G - TW series, AoE3). Medieval games should stick to their medieval genre, and RTS games like C&C should stick to their genre... Don't combine the two, it never works.

The only game that works with Armed and ranged guns is M2TW.
Mount and Blade just doesnt cut it with guns.
Sure it does.
This is more along the lines of the truth (bold my own).
Leading from the front in an era of gunpowder was very hazardous to one's health, if you will, so if you're charging headlong into a gunline, you shouldn't be surprised that you're getting killed 75% of the time. Now I've played EatRC, and I agree completely, the guns are way too accurate, and are too prevalent. The problem is (in Native M&B and every other mod) that a line of high-tiered ranged units can decimate pretty much any other army build. Rhodok Sharpshooters, Native Expansion Ivory Archers/Watchmen or Arbalestiers, etc. etc. will kill almost everything before they get touched. Now, if you give even low-tiered ranged units guns (read: uber-crossbows that can deal one-hit-kill damage), it gets goofy. Guns should be restricted to the VERY highest tier elite troops, so that way they do appear on the battlefield, but aren't prevalent and widespread.
I wish that instead of getting sniped out of the saddle by low- and mid-tier troops, EatRC had just several guns around the field, so that you have to think twice about charging from the front, and think twice about charging down a lone musketeer in case he got a lucky shot off. As it is now, there's too much risk of gunpowder-induced coma.
So I don't think M&B can't handle guns, I just think the mods that DO use guns use them way too much.
well i really love this mod, but if u dont like
guns why the download this
this mod is the best one i know at the moment
waiting for hegemony 268......
