Sherwood Forest

Richard walked through Sherwood forest.
The archbishop had warned him that this place was rife with bandits and thieves and he felt exposed without a blade by his side. It had been a spur of the moment to ask the Archbishop if the clergy had any openings and he was shocked to be taken on as his apprentice.

The lifestyle would take growing accustomed to. Regardless the Archbishop had given him a chance and he would not fail. He saw a man and raised his arm,

"Good sir, could thou tell the whereabouts of Jonathan Walley? I seek him on a mission for the church."

[Major Darling]

The Man looks up, he is blind...

"Tell me the correct answer and I will let you pass, What starts on Four Legs, Then Moves to Two legs and finally finishes on three?"

Richard thinks, a man is born as a child, and crawls on all fours, he then grows and walks on two. Of the men he knows to reach an age where the legs are no longer sufficient for the body he carries a walking stick giving him three.

Richard smiles at the man, "A man," he says.

"Can you tell me where to find Jonathan Walley good sir?"

[Major Darling]

"Walley? I know no Walley.. But I do know a Thomas who knows nearly everyone in this here forest, He lives but a mile down the road."

"Thank you my man,"

Richard walks along the road and finds a small cottage.
He raps three times on the door.

[Major Darling]

A Deaf man on seeing the door shake got up and answered it,

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

"I am Richard Fendrel of the church, I hear you have some Bibles for me,"


Seeing the man didn't register anything on he said he brought out some parchment and scribbled out the message to the man.
