To port to BI you just need to use the BI exe and run the normal mod through it using the mod switch, nothing fancy about it.

I assume you're referring to RomeTW.exe as thats the only actual file you mentioned. But it's not a text file, it is in fact the game itself. And since that's ALWAYS located in same place, the only possible options here are that you either didn't place the tool inside the mdofolder or that you don't have the RomeTW.exe in which case the game won't run at all as theres nothing to run. Seeing that the first is far more likely to be true, I suggest you check the possition of the tool and make sure it's located inside the modfolder. (for example inside "Rome Total War\RTRPE" or "Rome Total War\EB" etc)
Yes, that's not a modfolder, that's the main game folder. The tool doesn't seem to support that...
As a trick to fool the tool you could try to copy the RomeTW.exe to one level higher. I'm not sure if that will work, but it's worth the try
Won't work! I've got the same problem with that other guy

Right, so all i have to do is install the vanilla RTW, install the mod(which is mod-foldered in my case) and then place the RomeTW.exe inside the mod folder and i'm done?
Just as note: where Alex placed the tool (see the image below) is wrong. It has to be inside a modfolder and nowhere else, which means it can only be used for modfoldered mods, if you use the tool as described in the original post of this thread. Don't go moving the RTW exe or whatever... Just do as told in post #1.
No. Read the first post again and just follow these steps and you should be good to go
Okay thanks guys, i'll try not to screw up
OK guys, i've placed it in my MOD-FOLDER and i now have the following error
Could not find text data/descr_sm_factions.txt
This program should be placed inside your mod folder.
What am i doing wrong this time?
Is the file descr_sm_factions.txt inside the mod folder's data folder?

What if it's not? Cause it ain't.
Did you read the error message you were given? It says Could not find descr_sm_factions.txt that means its looking for it, so put it in your mod folder.

I put it in and it still says the same thing...
Then the program is in the wrong location.
