if you want the game to be realistic, use Rome total war realism mod

No its not easily removed, also Legionaries did wear greaves later in the empire, since My timeline goes to 220AD I think its still realistic enough, If you want only realism both RTR and EB are in that line of gameplay.

I seriously doubt ability of any mod to be truly realistic.

Yes but thats not the point, both EB And RTR can give you a more deep experience historicaly speaking, then SPQR, there is no question about that. SPQR is diferent is meant for ..... A KILLING SPREE OF ANYTHING THAT MOVES..KILL THEN ALLL muahahah.

ok sry for shouting will take mt meds, You could say that SPQR is like an Arcade version of RTW

I wouldnt call it ARCADE version of RTW, I would say the Vanilla is ARCADE VERSION. SPQR has more realistic battles IMO as they last the length and your can have time to use flanks and bring in reinforcements. Next time you slam a mod dont try to act friendly about it when your really just being a ........ SPQR has been around long enough to be beyond who's mod is best crap, I am still the modder of SPQR but EB/RTR have had some serious changes in their mod teams. I remember when Trivium was helping EB and Gaius Julius was the creator of RTR.

oh the worst thing about reinforcements is i had 3 legions battling 5 legions of Gauls and next thing I know my reinforcements don't come through and the Gauls do, so i'm left battling 5 armies against one..next thing i know i took out 3 armies and I had been heavily beaten, and All that was left was my general and I had him running around the battle field and when I thought all was lost, my ally reinforcements come and I game a HUUUUGGGEEE sigh of relief

Im sorry? that wasnt my intention at all.... slam a mod? right i certainly slam the mod i play most...
honestly dont be a snob about it, i realy like SPQR, aswell other mods. The battles indeed as you say are more "realistic" than most thats true, the battles are sometimes realy epic ,but the gameplay of the campaing, reminds me of a "arcade thing" thats all i meant. And its not a bad thing i realy like that. But my point was on historical information,in his content for instance EB or RS, who can give other perspective on this issue. im not saying is better or worse, and there is nothing connected to that discussion in my last post. Any mod out there is peculiear and have his own caracteristics, so diferent points of views are showned. but you already konw this.
