Should Austria just annex into Germany, I mean they´re literally the same people and stuff....
Yes
No
Ein Reich für ein deutsches Volk...
Should Austria just annex into Germany, I mean they´re literally the same people and stuff....
His highness, şeşurn I, Keng of Savomyr!
They tried this already.

It obviously didn't end well (not to mention they had to use underhanded means to get it to happen in the first place).
Wait? That's your argumentation? They're the same people and stuff?
The height of the nationstate is lone gone pal, and even then they didn't join.
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...
with that argument, why doesnt the US and UK join? better yet, lets add Canada, Australia, etc.
Austria and Germany are two brotherly countries, no doubt. But we must remember that Austria is a country with great history and a people with their own character.
I know I know, but Heer Führer ist von den Ostërreich. Schriebt gut???
His highness, şeşurn I, Keng of Savomyr!
They are not the same people, so no. Unless they want too for some reason.
NEIN!
Why can't Germany annex into Austria eh?
What does the 3rd one mean?
There's supposed to be more emphasis on the repeated ein, so it's more: One empire for one German nation
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...
Uhm, last time I checked, the Austrians were happy with their own sovereignty. And seriously, if sharing a similar ancestry qualifies someone for annexation, then how the hell do you determine which ancestry qualifies someone for annexation by which country? Ancestry is a subjective thing, because its the accumulation of many different peoples. How far back are you willing to go to ensure a proper coloration?
Says the man that thinks Gibraltar should be turned over to Spain, even lacking such a basic brotherly connection. A double standard? It couldn't be.
Take it easy,
Says the man who opposes democracy in Gibraltar.
I wanted to join in

You said colonialism, and that somehow trumps what I said? Talk about referencing facts not in evidence. And don't worry, I'm only slightly offended by the thought that you rely on gross generalizations of single opinions, and reverting to shouting out such generalizations as facts, like calling me an anglophile. But that has more to do with my crazy habit for making statements based on an accumulation of facts. Your arguments don't offend me in the slightest, because they are demonstrasbly untenable. But this is really off topic, and my point that led to this digression was only meant to illustrate that you seem to be unable to apply logic in a consistent manner. It's nothing personal.
@topic
I'd really like to see a better justification for the unification of separate political entities, who are demonstrably unique from other similar ones.
Take it easy,
I think you should increase your knowledge on this issue before trying to give lessons. Anyway, to follow me with the same question everywhere... demonstrates the weakness of your arguments.
It's nothing personal, either. But back to Austria thread!
I dont think so. Austrians and Germans are very different. Cultural speaking.
