I have beaten the Macedonians, they have Delphi which is under siege and will fall soon, and the city next to it (Sparta?) as their only remaining territory.
The Greeks were happy for me to beat down the Mac's up until a few turns ago when they thought to join in on the Macs side even though they were my allies. I've shown them the error in their thinking by sending a few of their armies back as a ragged defeated reminder of why that was a bad idea. We have a ceasefire for now.
I could do a few things:
1. Wipe the Macedonians out and keep my borders intact for a few turns.
2. Take Delphi, then try and get the Macs to be a Protectorate with their one remaining city as a buffer against the Greeks.
3. Wipe the Macs out, then go and wipe out the Greeks at least on the mainland, as well, and stop when I've made them Roman. Then think about Asia.
Really the question is how long can I trust the Greeks for? I know they will probably attack again, but I can now raise 5 named legions from my Illyrian and Macedonian conquests so I could wait until they are built and ready to go for the Greeks in one fell swoop.
I need the others to teach the Gauls a similar lesson in how to be a good neighbour and ally.
