Can I Install RS 1.5c Over S.P.Q.R.?

no it needs a clean install of rome patched to 1.5 or BI 1.6

You could install Rome -Total War in a different place.

What you do is the first time you install Rome - Total War, make sure you install it in a spot that isn't it's default directory. Then, the next time you pop in the CD, it'll ask you if you want to install it again.

Or else you make a copy of the unmodified RTW folder which you keep as a back up and can make copies of that to install mods into (just change the name of the folder from Rome-Total War to something like SPQR or RS1.5)

A good idea, if you like playing different mods, is to keep a copy of RomeTW (with or without BI) as a master copy. I have a main folder on my hard drive called "ROME" in the main rome folder i have my clean copy of rome called "Rome TW-Vanilla" then when i want to install a new mod i right click on my vanilla folder and select copy, i then paste it in into my Main "ROME" Folder. then go to the new folder "Rome TW-Vanilla -COPY"
and rename it to whatever your new mod will be, (SPQR or RS 1.5c or whatever) then you are ready to install the mod to your new folder.

And it's always a good idea if there are children around the house to disguise the main folder so that they don't end up breaking things. Just play around with files a little. As far as anyone else knows I don't have a copy of Rome in my folders, I have "system_reboot.exe" x)

Started that for myself after my brother got into the game files and managed to delete all the unit skins.

I also have 3 PC's, wait you meant brothers didnt you. Oh i see, what you want then is a dongle with security software, that locks the PC unless the dongle is plugged in, that will stop the swines.

Or you could just tell them, "the next time you touch my computer, I will beat you to death with it". That usually works, you have to follow through with your threats though.
