Download Links for PDeR 1.0a

Ok I'll try redownloading the 2nd and 3rd part (the place where the install fails lands in that grey area where your not sure which one it would be) but ive checked and the download when it actually begins is a different size from the one listed here and on the site.

Here its listed as 207,872mbs but when 1 actually begins downloading my download browsers lists it as only 198 and change so Im not completly sure if Im still downloading a bad file again

The devil is in the details: 207,872KB

Sigh, they don't teach kids anymore that 1,024KB is 1MB.....

so if you divide the KB above by 1,024 you get 203MB

You do the same for the DO2 file (201024KB) and you get 196 MB

my bad rookie mistake. Been a long time since programing 1 and 2 for me. Made myself look like a ass there.

but ironically enough even though i had my memory conversions wrong it still ended up being another corrupted file

having diffuculty with part 3 aparntly twice now the file I downloaded was only 198,000 and change compared to the 201,024 its suppose to be. Trying the other mirror now.

Could someone try downloading these versions and see if its just me or if it is the download itself now. I mean I keep trying and trying and keep getting the same error no matter how many times I download it. I would really like to try this version over the vanilla version but am having no luck at all it seems.

Corrupted files again...it does not finish the installation, an i´ve downloaded the three parts several times and in the two different threads/sources.

I will upload to a different provider in the next few days. My original files (on my hard drive) still work like a charm.

getting corrupted files all over the place, first the teutonic one (53%) and now a culverin (67%) error. I'm hoping that the new links won't have these issues

yes the MU links work for me as well... as for the corruptions I think it was because the files were not rar'd... how do I enable georgia in the campaign menu?

MegaUpload problem is solved some how. But got a new problem while trying to install, this message:

PDeR 1.0a has not been totally installed because of the following reason:
File corrupt or unreadable:
mods\PDeR_1.0\data\unit_models\_units\ee_peasant_leather\baltic_archers_ug1_lod1.mesh.

I tried again three times and still the same message. So if I have to redownload, please upload to FileFront so all the files can downloaded at the same time.

Sometimes downloads get corrupted. You can usually take a good guess which file it was by noting the percentage of the progression when the fault happens. All three files have pretty much the same size:

EXE = 198MB = 0 - 34%
DO1 = 198MB = 35 - 68%
DO2 = 191MB = 69 - 99%

There's something wrong with the last part. I can't download it whole, it downloads for some time and then just stops. Upload somewhere else, please.

Do I still need to install the quickfix?

Can't launch the game though, it just gives an error message: Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.

The quickfix is only for the Megaupload version.

Please check if your log is set to *trace in the CFG file of the PDeR installation. It should look somewhat like this:

[log]
to = logs/M2TW.system.log.txt
level = * trace

This will send your log to the logs subfolder of the Medieval II Total War folder. The size might be several MB, so please compress and then attach. (You need to run the game once after the changes to get the trace log)
