Fort St. Frederic on lake Champlain
oh you are so close, oh so close indeed. That is only a stones through away from this site, In fact many of these stones from this site were reused from Fort St. Fredric after the French blew up the magazine whrn they withdrew from the area. The NYS and Vermont Goverment just removed a bridge from the area and uncovered another fort that was right across from the strait and Fort St. Fredric. The only remains of Fort St. Fredric are eroded earthworks that the British used as a gun emplacement to cover the strait.
Here is a pic of st Fredric, but the one I referred to originally is not this.
