Was Armenia really independant enough at that time to be used as a faction?

I was thinking that with both the Armenians and Lakmids. Still I suppose they make that area a bit more interesting than two superpowers banging heads until one of them explodes!

Well the ruler of Armenia in the time frame was Arshak II until 367 Armenia was involved in a great war against Persia. Only in 379 Armenia was conquered by Persia. So Armenia possess the right to be a independent nation.

The Lakhmids only disappear in 633 when their lands are conquered by the calipath.

So i dont see any problem with that factions.

Were the Kidarites more related to Huns or Hephalites? And what is their culture?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kidarites

They were Xionites, otherwise known as "Huns". Their name comes from their dynasty, of the Ki clan. Note that the Huns were never a single ethnic group though. They were more like a conglomeration of tribes, clans and nations.
