    SecondPreview of EM 3.0

    Here is another small preview of this sub mod, this time Im showing my work on some new islands and my work for a better snow in winter! Once again this is not a final version, things may be changed until the release.

    Note that the screens are taken at turn 4(first winter) so the factions' locations are not the starting ones.

    Please note that some regions and details may change in the future, and this preview doesnt include some other features which Im planning on doing to the next release, this is only a region-preview . This is not a final version, but a WIP map.

    This mod is compatible with patch 1.3

    Hi everyone,

    When I am playing TA:TW I always think that the map is great and well made, but there are not enough regions, it feels a bit empty in some areas. Thats why I decided to make an Expanded map, which will add a considerable amount of regions into the map. Over time I saw some people interesting in an expanded map, so I decided to release my work.

    Features:

    What this mod do:

    -I added 49 new regions into the map.
    -Added snow in winter.
    -Six new islands were added.
    -Some new ground textures made by Archaon.
    -Including my Moria mod, which you can find here.

    Installation

    For Vanilla users: Download Expanded Map v2.0 and extract the data folder into your Third_Age folder, overwrite everything and play .

    Uninstall: To uninstall this mod, download Expanded Map v2.0 Backup Vanilla Files and extract them into your Third_Age folder and overwrite everything.

    Note: You cant install version 2.0 over version 1.0, you must install it over vanilla TA:TW installation.

    Changelog:

    -Added six new region.
    -Added six new islands.
    -Added snow into the game.
    -More ground textures made by Archaon.

    Some of these regions are allready addded into the map, but some of these I think are just dividing a region into two, making like north and south, or west and east of * region. I am not just adding regions for the purpose of the many regions there are the better it is, I still keep on lore-based map, and I add regions and settlements where I know/researched that exist.

    If you or someone could give me names for these regions and settlements for this map in the spoiler I will add them gladly, but now I dont have any info about them.

    Its all just rough areas, of course. The red circles indicate which new provinces should be held be rebels to begin with(from those I've divided).

    It could be a stupid suggestion, but i´ll do it anyway. Could you add some snow in the northern parts of ME(in winter of course)?

    Well I'm not an expert on Middle Earth, but I've tried to add regions where there could be more, and settlements could be added where settlements would be with appropriate names. Such as with the Mines of Moria settlement mod, I rename Halls of Moria 'Dwarrodelf', Eastern Moria 'Dimrill Dale' or 'Khazad-dum' and Western Moria 'Door of Durin'.

    I am not sure that I know how to do it, but I will look into it.

    Thats EXACTLY What I've been looking for!! The Moria Mod is included, you say? So downloading this will overwrite all the previous files for the Moria mod?

    Yes my Moria mod is included and it changes the same files. If you install this you overwrite the Moria mod files.

    It is not yet compatible with RC/RR, but I guess I will make a compatible version. The new RC/RR just got out, it will take me some time to make a compatible version.

    And about Eol's confusion is because I am the map maker of TUT aswell and he thought that I took TUT's map and posted it in here. This is a different one but it has some similarities to TUT's map.

    Looks good, one question; Where did you get the names for the new cities? I have read many of the books and I don't recognize most of the names.
