Want to give it another shot? Usually I pick an image from the web and save it on my desktop. Then I check with TinEye to make sure it can't find it. Then I upload it to an image hosting site (in my case photobucket) and post an img link here.

Hum, yes. That's not going to be easy. Looks like a 18th century stately home or small chateau. Pic says it's a manor, but it doesn't look British to me. Northern France?

I agree with Muizer this is not going to be easy. Initially I too thought Northern France but having looked closely at the picture there is a hint of a Bavarian checkered colour scheme....so I am going to hazard a guess that it is fact in Germany, and in a part that belonged to Bavaria - not necessarily modern Bavaria

Germany
You guys can recognise the silliest of small towns from the silliest of pictures so you should be able to find this lol.

So, what clues are we missing? It seems to me to be a rather ordinary mansion with no distinctive features. There could be hundreds of these that nobody ever bothered to write a word about on the web

Exactly! I have watched this thread quite often I it looks like you guys have seen either the entire world, read all of wikipedia or watched everything on Google Maps. It is madness. So I issue a mad challenge.
I will give hints, don't worry.
-Germany
-Not Bavaria
-Located in a small village of almost 12000 people right next to a small city of about 50000.

NRW?
Probably one of the towns around Kleef, I'm going to guess Issum because it has a population of 11.871.
And that city of 50.000, is that also in Germany?

Oh yes.
The village (not that city) is famed for its spa.

The tower gave it away?

The combination. There are still at least two options for a Spa ("Bad") in Nordrhein Westfalen with a graduation tower. Only one fitted the town size criteria.
