Ok, hint - The structure on the picture overlooks VERY old city. Guess the name of the city.

well I spent a while trying to figure out what place is this .. actually it seems to me somewhere close to my last picture (both for landscape and for architecture), but I can't get to any sure answer .. maybe an hint would be useful

That must be Messina, with a view on the Stretto di Sicilia. The church in the center right is the Duomo di Messina

Not unsurprisingly, our Italian friend is right.
Messina it is and the Duomo, and especially the Bell tower with it's moving golden mechanical figures are probably the most recognizable features of the picture.
