AI shield wall.... Ever?

I've been testing this mod for a while and I've not seen the enemy use the standard Northern European shield wall way of fighting even once. I mean, for me it's not really a game breaker as I don't give much of a care about Vikings, Saxons and all that. But I downloaded the mod for my father and he is a total saxon nut. Quite frankly, without the shield wall warfare there's no point me keeping the mod installed.

So I'm asking this basically. Is there a way I myself can modify the AI use of shield walls into the game?

If your father is a saxon nut he will love this mod - shieldwall or not. If not I will give him a good spanking(yes I am stonger!).
The shieldwall: I dont think your father will appreciate if his saxons fight with their backs against the enemy. Thats what happens often if you give AI the shieldwall.

And thats a shame about that shield wall thing.
Hmm, probably something that could be fixed in the EXE file ya? DAMN CA! GIVE US PERMISSION!

Would there be a way to make the unit soldiers closer together using the formation settings in the RTW text files? Coz I bet the AI could do an overlapping shield wall without compromising with their fighting ability. Could you think how that might be possible?

Which version are you using Leeham? DoB or VI2 1.6?

DoB I believe. So I'm not sure how effective sending my EDU in would be then.

Whatever Athenagoras can do to your VI EDU, he can also do to your DoB EDU. PMing your EDU to him would help, if he's interested in doing this.
