Default Napoleon: Total War a precursor to another Napoleonic Expansion?

Napoleon: Total War's Grand Campaign technically goes up to 1812. It ends at the height of his powers. Is this then a precursor for a follow up? Is it possible there will be a second installment covering the invasion of Russia, the 1813 War of German Liberation, the 100 Days Campaign with perhaps the Pennisula War thrown in?

The game is not going to be based on historical events except up to Napoleon taking control of France. The game will not be restricted by a historical timeline of Napoleon's rise and fall. It will be like all the other Total War games, in which you cause what happens in the game

Maybe we can expect something similar to Rome: Total War: Alexander. Though if CA were going to do something like that, I would have thought that they would not have abandoned Empire so quickly.

There's to be 3 RTI style scripted campaigns and one "grand campaign" style campaign supposedly. So I don't think it will be exactly like Alexander, Junius.

I had thought of that too. You could theoretically do an 1813 game with each turn being one day long. There are many many nations involved in that campaign too. Whether they actually do something like that or not though ....

I read that scorched earth will be possible in Russia so NTW will cover that portion of the Napoleonic Wars.

My impression was that it is covering all of the Napoleonic Era, and my guess would then be the expansion will be theatrical like Kingdoms: American Civil War (with Mexico, British and Spanish colonies, Colombia, ect.), The Great Game (Russia, Britain, Persia, Afghans, Sikhs, Maratha, Mysore, Portugal), and then either South African Zulu/Boer Wars, or more likely a general European campaign from 1850-1860 onward, covering the Crimean/Austro-Prussian/Franco-Prussian/Garibaldi affairs.
