South Norway: Land of Fjords, Land of Beauty

I said before I was going to post some pics of my voyage trip through South-Norway. South Norway indeed, because I didn't go much further north than Bergen.
It's been nearly a year since I made this trip, so the comments are a bit rusty.

After a short boat trip from Hirtsals (DK) to Kristiansand, I land on the Norwegian soil. Kristiansand is a perfect first impression of Norway in the summer: beautifull buildings and the typical "Coast City" atmosphere. Perfect to get in the holiday mood...

The next day, I travel to Lindesness, the "South Cape" of Norway, famous for it's lighthouse

But there's still a long way ahead, so I head on, with the beautifull sights of Norway on my left and on my right...

...To end up in the beautifull city of Stavanger. Rich because of the oil industry, Stavanger used the money well to become a clean, nice city

And what's a trip to Norway without visiting the Capital of the Fjords: Bergen ?
Bergen is truly one of the most beautifull large cities I've ever seen. It rather has a village ethos then the atmosphere of a large city

Did you drive through Hardanger? It's awesome. Drive from Haugesund/Stavanger to Odda and just drive...

PS: Stavanger was the poorest town in the country before the oil. They had a lot of factories there, tin-canned products was their major export. The demand went down and out of the hundreds of tin-can factories they had only a few are left.

Yeah, I've been to Hardanger, but I can't seem to find the pics, my photocamera has a strange way of organising things and has put some photo's from Bergen with photo's from Sæbø etc. I've got 600 photo's, but I'll take a look

I've heard about that, it's quite a change in half a century.

@Justinian: That's how I experienced 90% of the fjords, stunning beauty and every little corner is diffferent

What kind of fur was that? Couldn't possibly be wolf pelts, I thought there was only something like 20 left in Norway.

no idea, most were reindeer furs, but there were also some seal furs. I think some of em are fox furs

At least in the winter, when they're going skiing

Taxandrius: You should really go further north one day. In the summer. Midnight sun!
You MUST () visit in the winter as well. Go skiing in Trysil, Hafjell or Kvitfjell! Great fun, and they look good too!

Try Sauda once, ok, it's in mid-western Norway, but the view from the slopes is stunning. (Plus, I live there, so am biased...)

Looks great! I live in Hamar, so Hafjell and Kvifjell are a bit closer if I'm going on a day trip, but I have family in Bergen so I might manage to pull'em with me
