I tried playing Warband on either Friday or Thursday but I was getting insane lag the whole time so I had to stop, there are a lot of games I can play while lagging Warband online isn't one of them.

Too bad, what is your ping and where do you live? Europe and USA is pretty much covered,
and I also believe there are some Oceanic servers (and Chinese as well).
Warband also has more fancy graphic features so turn them down if that's the issue.

Men were wearing dresses and black armour was back. See-through shields and horses on the ground and floating everywhere - a real mess

I can do 2:1 pretty often when I play as a lancer (even though I don't know how to lance

)

When I play as an archer or infantry I'm lucky to get a 1:1 ratio. I'm really bad at single combat so far, I seem to lose every time I fight someone. Anyone have some tips?

I'm basically a reverse, can't do a damn thing unless I'm on foot. Of course I've gotten pretty good at playing on foot so that doesn't matter so much.
