Now is not the time to take part in petty fights that only distract us from the business at hand. I condemn the senator for leaving the Curia when he is needed to make decisions as Quaestor. Since he seems incapable of taking an official condemnation of his actions, that he is in fact irresponsible, it brings his ability to act in an official capacity into question. But this is not the time nor the place for that.

To placate the Tribune, and the rest of this house, taxes need to be lowered in Rome. Let the spending take place in the cities and provinces. The cost of the projects proposed already left 10,000 denarii in the treasury, unless my maths is wrong.

Senators I write to you in haste. I have not broken any law yet when I come back I very well may be killed. But if I do come back I have the power to investigate you all for any reason I wish. This will bar you for running for office, and I will investigate every one of you just before the elections. My other solution is to exile me with one legion, the X Primegina, to Africa and I will secure our borders and make sure we have the grain to give to the masses for free in my bill as stated. I am planning for an invasion of Libya, thats why I went to the port city of Brundisium, but I cannot leave Italy. I am proposing this bill though...

Equestris shall be exiled to Africa for 10 years, starting after his term ends, and he can only take the X legion with him. He must take Libya in the next 5 years or may be recalled. When he comes back he is barred for running for office again for another 5 years.

Senators, senators! Have we anything to fear from this man? Are we corrupt? Do we have secret deals behind the curtains of the Curia hallways? Let him have his fun, he'll soon tire of it. Our investigation is the most beneficial solution, because he is not out of our sight, and he is not with a legion (which by the way is a preposterous notion if ever I heard one).

I would like to see how the Quaestor can investigate our actions from Brundisium. I request that he compiles a report on his ongoing investigations and delivers it to the Senate post haste, so that we can judge if he is actually investigating every member. An announcement of investigation is not the investigation itself, so unless we see evidence of such, including reports on why a Senator is being investigated, I would assume that no investigation is taking place.

More so, I would like to remind the Senate that the Quaestor, while he enjoys the protection of his office, cannot be compelled or brought up on charges in a court of law. That is why we must pass our No Confidence vote in him.
