Can I Skin, model, and create textures with just using gimp. The reason I say this is because i can't afford to get photoshop of 3d max.

Sure you can, GIMP is as powerful as Photoshop but it tends to crash more. I don't know about modeling cause i know squat about that but as for Skinning and textures, I'm 100% sure you can.

Thank you Lycan for your help. I was also wondering if some body can post an tutorial so I can create the general on my profile page. I want to see if I can do skining work because the world of modding is exiting and for once I want to be apart of it.
